romney we saw on wednesday night, we have to see it again and again and again. and his campaign, greg, needs to make us see him. we are a little stressed in analyzing this race that since thursday morning they are not capitalizing well enough. their tv ads are not running clips from the debate highlighting the great performance. it is not on the ads. >> it has changed a little bit. i want to ask you about the performants because people say well, that was not really president obama, he was off the game. if you actually watch president obama without a teleprompter in news conferences, he fumbles, stumbles and mumbles, he goes on and on like a recovery and he never answered the question. >> that is true. he did not draw a clear distinction between him record and the positions that governor romney has taken. john is right, he did not make the kind of charges he has made successfully about cutting medicare and medicaid, social security. the bottom line, romney was able to move to the center, obama fell apart, i think, even worse than you are saying. he looked like he was not up to the job.

celebrating his wedding anniversary, as you know fell on the night of the debate. so mitt romney was unencumbered on the campaign trail. there was no response that the president could give to anything that mitt romney did. and mitt romney seemed to energize after the debate. >> every year the median income has gone down, 4,300 a family ab with average family income around 50,000 bucks, that hurts. gasoline prices are up twice what they used to be. these are tough years for the middle class and for the poor in america. and if we calculate it, by the way, our unemployment rate in a way that was consistent with the way it was calculated when he came into office, be a different number. if the number of people shall the percentage of the american population in the work force were the same today as the day he was elected, unemployment rate would be above 11%, this is inexcusable in a nation so prosperous of ours, that four years of a presidency has not been able to get america back on track. he can't, he doesn't know now, i know now and i'll get the job done. >> a bet that most of the

, of course, he spent that night debating romney. they got away to the four seasons hotel to celebrate, the anniversary, not at the debate. romney has been reaching out to voters in the crucial swing state this weekend. a lot of the talk has been centered on taxes and health care but he's also taken time to talk about his sin expirations and the people he's met on the campaign trail. >> i met someone named jane horton. she also suffered tragedy in her life. her husband christopher was killed in afghanistan as she was packing up a care package when a knock came at the door that he was tragically killed there. what did she do? she didn't fall into sadness and despair, but instead went to work to help other families that had lost loved ones and served our nation. she went to the funeral for her husband when his remains came back and this was at a time when misguided people were protested funeral services of our servicemen and she was asked, what do you think about these people protesting people at your husband's people. she said, quote, chris died for them to be able to protest. this is q
